• Identity and address verification — government photo ID and current address, checked against the documents provided.
• Qualification check — degree and, where relevant, B.Ed or teaching certificates, plus proof of the boards and classes they claim to have taught.
• Structured interview — subject depth, prior teaching experience, and how they handle a student who is behind, disengaged or anxious about exams.
• Live teaching demo — a real lesson assessed on clarity, patience, pace and whether the student was doing the thinking rather than just watching.

Verification continues after a tutor joins. We track punctuality, class completion, parent feedback and actual marks over time. Tutors who consistently deliver keep getting matched; those who do not are removed from the network. If you are ever uncomfortable with a tutor for any reason, one message is enough — we replace them at no extra cost and without asking you to justify the decision.

A session usually runs sixty to ninety minutes: a quick recap and check of the previous homework, the day's concept taught with worked examples, guided practice where the student attempts problems while the tutor watches for the exact point of confusion, and finally a short set of homework sized to be finished before the next class. Notes stay in your child's own notebook, which matters at revision time.
